The crystallization of sodium chloride and potassium chloride – no problem for EBNER. After successful assembly, EBNER commissioned such a crystallization plant for an aluminum recycling company in December 2018. As part of slag salt recycling, the salts from a contaminated mixed salt solution are crystallized in it and can be fed back into the aluminum smelting process. The system operates on the principle of mechanical vapor recompression. This means that the resulting exhaust vapor is compressed by electrically driven compressors and used again as an energy source for evaporation. The particular challenge of this project was the very tight schedule, which meant that the coordination of the trades involved in the project was particularly in demand. Despite all hurdles, EBNER was able to deliver a complete solution specially tailored to the customer according to the usual high EBNER quality.
