In September 2017, EBNER was awarded a contract for a plant to crystallize sodium chloride and potassium chloride as mixed salt from a solution produced from contaminated mixed salt. The contaminated mixed salt was used to cover liquid aluminum in an aluminum processing plant. The plant to be designed under the contract operates on the principle of mechanical vapor recompression, which is why only electrical energy is used as the source of primary energy for the evaporation of the water from the solution. EBNER was awarded the contract not only because of its price advantage over the competition, but also because of the quality, which the customer had already experienced through an order already placed for equipment for an existing plant.
